Certified Medical Billing Specialist® - Instructor - CMBS-I Training
The Medical Association of Billers offers a training class for medical billing and coding instructors. In order to participate in the Train-the-Trainer program instructors must be current members of the Medical Association of Billers, a CMBSTM and must have a Confidentiality Agreement on file. Train-the-Trainer is a two day class consisting of our PowerWeekend™ refresher class plus training tips and assessment tools. The first day the training will include:
Adult Learning Styles
Medical Terminology
Insurance Carriers
Introduction to ICD Coding
Introduction to CPT Coding
Medicare
Completing a CMS 1500 form
Evaluating an EOB
The second day the Instructors will have an opportunity to make presentations to the class on topics supplied by our Instructors. Each presentation should last 5-10 minutes. Trainers will be graded on:
Presentation technique
Knowledge
Question answering skills
Upon successful completion instructors will receive their CMBS-I.

Custom CMBS-I Training If trainers are unable to travel to Las Vegas we can send an instructor to observe in their city. There is a minimum of 5 trainers per class for custom CMBS-I training.
CMBS-I™ Cancellation Policy All cancellations must be made in writing via mail, fax or e-mail to Medical Association of Billers. All cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the seminar will receive a refund minus a $100 administrative fee.
Curriculum Licensing Once instructors are certified they may qualify to license the PowerWeekend™ curriculum.
